We keep city portraits compact. One or two strong nearby areas are usually better than driving between landmarks, especially with steep streets, crowds, parking restrictions and summer heat.
What about strong sun, wind or very hot weather?
We keep midday portraits short, use shade and architecture when the sun is hard, and save more intentional portraits for softer light later in the day. On the coast we also leave flexibility for wind.
